Default 25NL - flopped trips against a pre-flop re-raiser - proper play?

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25

Stack sizes:
UTG: $48.15
UTG+1: $5.60
Hero: $12.25
MP2: $14.75
MP3: $25.05
CO: $28.50
Button: $27.50
SB: $40.95
BB: $19.40

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $0.5</font>, 5 folds, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $1</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($2.1, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">BB bets $0.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $1.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $4.25</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises all-in $11.25</font>, BB calls.

EDITED to remove the turn and river parts.

The small raise in early position was probably the first bad move in this hand. But then the guy in the big blind min re-raises to $1. Although I am getting some odds to at least call and see the flop; should I have folded based on the gap concept (or freaking common sense)?

So the flop gives me trips and I think I will double up. He puts a rather weak bet (probably knowing how aggressive I had been playing on the table) so I raised. And of course he re-raised. I guess the next question is was the all-in play terrible based on the raising patterns of the player? If so then what should have been the proper play? Looking at the hand now, I also have the issue of a flush draw. So it looks like basically push or fold.

Thanks

Raise more preflop (you already know that)
Flop reraise his lead to $5. Its K high and its a 2 to a flush flop, lets try to get the money in now and get action from AK,AA type hands while we can. When he 3bets the flop his range is AK,AA,KK push is fine.
NH.
