Run a very secure internet server, possible?
I want to run a very secure internet server. Here is what I want in detail:
-I want to have a computer that can receive data from other computers on the internet if they have the right password to login -If a computer does not have the right password, then I don't want it to find out anything about anything: anything about the other clients, anything about the data on the server -I want this to be easy to setup. Is this possible? Do you know how it is done? I don't know anything about these things. So any information is helpful! |

'very secure' and 'easy to setup' often do not coincide. |

See I didn't even know for sure an FTP server was what I wanted. But I want to learn. Is there any more keyword I should use if I'm looking for a secure FTP server in particular? FileZilla? |

Re: Run a very secure internet server, possible?
if security is really important, dont use windows for the server.

I'm sorry to say that all of that is way over my head and I can't put the time in to learn about it. Would a good solution be to go with getting an account with a commercial server provider company that has a good name for honesty? If you think that would be a good solution, please ge me a couple of recommendations. Thank you very much! |
