I like the flop lead and I would block the river. Checking the river is no good, because the only real draw got there, so you aren't trying to catch a bluff. You want to get value if he has a J or some other PP, which he may check behind.

I would never fold this river readless and dont understand why everyone is assuming an unknown has a monster here. [/ QUOTE ] QFT. Hero's line looks nothing like a K so villain is probably betting a wide range of hands we have crushed. |

Against an unknown I just keep betting the whole way. They never put you on a K. Anything else is over-thinking IMO. I can't believe people are talking about folding.

I call. You played the kings in a high-risk high-reward fasion--I mean, isn't getting the villain to underestimate your hand your ultimate goal by betting this way? I think given your line (and especially against an unknown) you have to call because you've concealed the strength of your hand very well. You have induced villain, much of the time, to either A) overvalue the strength of his hand or B) believe you are weak and can push you off.
Leading the turn gives you a much better idea of where you're at--or you could put out a blocking bet on the river, like some have suggested. But if villain is weak in those spots, he'll fold and you'll earn fewer chips--that's why I think this is the high-risk high-reward scenario. You've set it up to perfection, so I'd call and hope he's got JT or something. If we knew he was solid, I think we could fold, but given the unknown factor, call and make a note of the hand. |
