Re: FT200 Float gets there, now what

[ QUOTE ] why don't we check behind on the turn? [/ QUOTE ] because we have 9 high [/ QUOTE ] Well it's not like calling the flop with a 2way straight draw then taking a free one on the turn is terrible or whatever. I'd bet here though given the board and it's BvB. I don't get this thread. You luckboxed your straight, he's probably got a jack, bet like 40-50 and get called a good amount. |

Re: FT200 Float gets there, now what
If he had a K he'd most likely bet that turn. I think a J makes up the majority of his range, so just make a bet you think he calls with a J. Probably like 40 or so, but this depends on how aggressive you are in BvB situations and how willing you think he is to call you down light.

Re: FT200 Float gets there, now what
What are (if anything) you betting if the river blanked?
I almost feel like a bet closer to pot is better, because there is a good chance he either has decided to c/c anything reasonable, or he's completely given up. I don't think a smaller bet gets called the higher % of time necessary to make it more profitable. Also, isn't that a pretty low c-bet frequency? I know we are b vs. b, but given he is out of position, it looks like he has something he wants to get to showdown with. Jesse |

Re: FT200 Float gets there, now what
i think you should try to get value from a J here because if we work with the assumption he's got a 50/50 chance to have a J (or something like QQ) or a K here (all other possibilities being much irrelevant)- and i think this is probably close to the truth:
he will very often call a slightly more than 1/2PSB with both a J and a K here. however he will call considerably less than 1/2 of that time when you pot it. not the most brilliant use of the english language, but i hope you get my point. |

Re: FT200 Float gets there, now what
you are begging to get c/r off your hand on the turn with that bet size.

Re: FT200 Float gets there, now what
its played fine, though obv there are alternative lines, but this one is pretty good. Now just bet. With your image, there is no way, no how you should be shoving or betting small to induce(small to induce is a bit better than shoving, but not by much), just value bet away
