[/ QUOTE ]Ya i got a little overzealous. I def think shoving is far from optimal, you shove him off bluffs and all worse hands, except MAYBE AQh. By calling if he's bluffing he probabaly won't fire again on that board as you could have a strong hand yourself, and you're getting solid odds even if he he does have QJh or a set.

this seems way worse than a flop shove

the whole thought process behind not shoving flop is because it only folds out worse hands. You think after calling the flop he's going to be double barelling often enough to make your push a more +EV play then just pushing flop?

I like the 700/call shove, and the c/r turn both more than pushing the flop. I opt to c/r turn. If board pairs on turn, I'd like to see his action. Then I'm call, pushing river.
