$16 3 Handed 300/600 Big Stack Shoves into you
I put this into sngpt and even with SB as a 4 pushing range, j9+, Q2 + etc its still a -.8%. Villain has pushed 3/4 blind to blind into me so I am putting him on not any 2 but very wide. It just seems like this is a call. I guess im too loose.

Re: $16 3 Handed 300/600 Big Stack Shoves into you
Where this call gets to be marginal is if villain is pushing 40%. At 50% this gets to be a better call. If villain is instashoving on the button as well he's shoving super wide, I'd rather take a stand with QJ. Otherwise, I'd rather fold here and shove ATC in the sb.

Re: $16 3 Handed 300/600 Big Stack Shoves into you
When I get into these spots as a caller, I like to think about whether or not the third player will be happy or sad when he sees my cards. I think he'll be happy here. It's a loser because you're giving the shorter stack an easy $EV bump when you assume all the risk.
That said, I can think of a lot of players at the $16's that are shoving wider than 57% here which makes this a +$EV call. So, opponent-dependent, your gut was probably right to call. |

If he is shoving a lot...call. If not, shove the next hand.
