I'm visiting Seattle this week. Your best bet is to take the ferry from downtown to the Indian Casino across the Puget Sound. I can't recall the name of it, but they reimburse your ferry fare and there's a shuttle waiting to take you to the casino once you get there. The hotel people told me this was best. If you go to Hollywood or Drift on Inn, you're looking at a $25 cab fare each way from downtown.

Donk, thanks for the tip. do you happen to know the hours of the shuttle/ferry? i'm currently planning to bus it to the Shoreline area, and cab back. $27 total or so. I really can't believe the Muck or Tulalip don't have any transportation options.

The casino is the Clearwater casino. They have a $35 tournament daily that starts at 11:30am. A $4/8 limit, or 2-40 spread starts around 1:00 (as the tourney finishes). Don't know what the weekends are like. The ferry to Bainbridge runs about every 45 minutes to an hour (can get a schedule at the Washington State Ferry website). In the late evenings (after 10:00), the ferry runs every hour to 2 hours--definitely keep track of the schedule.

The ferry runs about every 30 minutes or so. I think the shuttle is always there waiting after the ferry gets there. The last ferry leaves at about 1 a.m. during the week, but I'm not sure of the hours on the weekend off the top of my head. Call Clearwater or the concierge at your hotel for better info. Hope this helped.

quick trip report from here in Seatown. First night I went to Hollywood and played some 2-40. It was a good game, though more solid spots than I'm used to in a 1-2 blinds game. There were about 4 people really trying hard to give away money, including a regular who plays wearing black gloves who burned about $400 in his first orbit, then ran up a stack to $800 or so, then burned that off in about 35 minutes. Luckily for the poker community, he then won $1000 hitting a str8 flush in 3 Card Poker. WOO. There was another old man that was trying so hard to give away money (cold called a $20 open with J4s, opened to $42 several times, shoved his $52 over my $8 raise (I had AQs, he had Q8o, board 98422 obv), etc etc etc). He drilled me once or twice, then I lost a massive pot with 56 on a 4788A board when A8 boated the river. NEAT. -$320 for that.

The next night I went to Parker's. Sat in an 8/16 game, that later went to 12/24. A bit outside my comfort zone, but a good game. The cast rotated a bit, but in general you had 2-3 solids, 2-3 people playing standard bad LAG (I'm going to simply bet at every opportunity), and 2-3 complete buffoons. I ran pretty good, though I lost a big pot with 45 to AJ on a 45Q flop (he called 3 cold on flop, runner runner A-Q), and chopped with Ax on a KJT all heart board, when I held AK with Ah, and it came blank-queen, with no heart. This was easily offset by some serious poor play by opps in other pots. Was up all night, pretty swingy due to LAGs. Was up $1300 on the night at one point, ended the night playing HU 12/24 against a mediocre player, who played exploitable (literally raised every button, bet every flop), but he ran hotter than Jesus for the last 20 minutes. Hard to win against someone who bets every time and hits every time. Ended the night +890.

Have a buddy who has a rent card, so headed to the Muck tonight, and probably ferrying to Clearwater tomorrow.

More to follow.
