Re: Wrap hand facing a reraise on the flop: Can I fold?
against some opponents you could be about 90% sure, but I get your point.. but anyways the decision is close, and his read should decide what to do.. I'd take my shot here against an unpredictable player.. against a straight forward player unlikely to risk his stack on a move, I'd fold..

Re: Wrap hand facing a reraise on the flop: Can I fold?
am I the only one who hates jamming this on a 2 flush board? seems to me if you bet and get raised it's a fold, if you want to try to make a hand just check.

Re: Wrap hand facing a reraise on the flop: Can I fold?
I'm taking my words back.. he cannot fold, no matter what!
But.. I still like just a call better, planning to fold for paired board on turn, sticking the rest in even if a club hit.. |

Im pretty much never folding here unless I have a read. But when I look at my play im totally with you about check calling.

Re: Wrap hand facing a reraise on the flop: Can I fold?
If im like 99% sure his got a set im folding. But im not and will call beacuse 25plo players do alot of weird and bad moves.

Re: Wrap hand facing a reraise on the flop: Can I fold?
I've started check-calling flops like these, maybe more than I should. I think it's mainly because it's been easy to get $ in as 65+ favorite lately that I don't need to fux with spot like thre which are likely Neutral to -EV.
I'm not sure how you're narrowing him down to a set though. There's about 239487238947 draws out there that he could be betting given that you potted from the small blind and he may be making you for AA. I probably don't fold this. But this is definitely a spot where calling > shoving so you can fold to a board pairing turn (unless it's a 9). |

Re: Wrap hand facing a reraise on the flop: Can I fold?
board: 7c9d4c
Hand Pot equity Wins Ties Js9sTc8h 36.07% 215,412 1,977 QcQ*c* 63.93% 382,611 1,977 also if you're against a set and he has two clubs you're in bad shape. it seems to me if you know you're up against a set only you're not in such bad shape, but if you're up against a FD with something with it like an overpair, then you are in big trouble. curiously you're not in such bad shape against a combo draw FD SD without a pair, I guess you have a (top) pair, it's about 55-45. when I first saw this I thought it was a no brainer, straight draw on flush draw board = bad, but it's a lot closer than I originally thought. |
