Pushing has to be better than check-calling. I'm not really sure if check-folding the river is an option if you're going to bet that turn.

i think push is the right choice here. btn has very little behind now and i think we would have heard from him on the turn if he had the 9, or the flop if he had 2pair, likely to see a KT/KJ/KQ/AQ/AJ/AT type of hand

any bet has you commited and you're probably either wawb so why not check and induce a bluff from a drawing hand who would otherwise fold to your river bet
