[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Homeless people smell bad = Ellix Powers [/ QUOTE ] If by homeless you mean the two homes he has in California and Reno, then your correct. PS: This Thread Sux bigtime. [/ QUOTE ] The last time you mentioned this everybody laughed at you for beliving him. I imagine that's about to happen again. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know too many homeless guys who can afford a month long stay at a Harrah's casino in Vegas. I did my research after we met, most of the crap we have all heard about him was internet/TV rumor and assumptions, not real. You of all people should know that ESPN has made "pros" that were never revered before, and also makes villains because its great for tv. Now I have no clue about what his life was like 3 years ago during his 15 seconds of fame, but I know he is a normal (albeit a bit nutty) and far from homeless. Think about it, if he was that big of a mess don't you think we would be hearing about it all the time from the CA live players here? The guy is a walking target, isn't it odd how the only people who talk about him here are people who know him only from TV? |

Re: Which Poker Pro smells the worst?
I played 2/4 LHE with Ellix at Binions about a year and a half ago, I thought he was homeless... The game was soft, but not so much that someone could live off it.
Edit: Oh yeah, I didn't notice any foul odors. |

[/ QUOTE ] At the WSOP this year my friends were at the Rio late (11pm-midnight ish) and were eating some pizza outside by the poker tent. When they were finished they walked to the garbage to throw away their food and Ellix "I own 2 houses" Powers asked: "Are you guys going to finish that?" My one friend told him he could have it and handed him the crumbs of his leftover pizza. I suppose he is just very frugal w/his money and spends it on real estate instead of food. |
