Re: New Venetian poker room
Bah. I'm one of those in the minority who does not feel that Foxwoods is run all that poorly. I believe the room presents unique challenges simply due to the fact that it has a billion tables. I think the sheer size and number of players make it extremely hard to manage. With only 30-something tables and a fraction of the player volume, the Venetian should seem like a cakewalk. We'll see.

There are rooms in Arizona and California almost as big, and I never had the problems there I encountered at Foxwoods... |

Re: New Venetian poker room
Well, let me just say that I've been playing at Foxwoods pretty regularly for about 3 years now and have never had a problem with management. But then again I'm a pretty easy going guy. I show up, put my name on the list, get seated, play, then leave. I never have any problems.

Re: New Venetian poker room
I have had a lot of neutral experiences at Foxwoods and a couple of excellent ones. Some of the floor people are as good as any I've encountered in Vegas. Some are nasty and it seems all are covering too many tables.
Most of the bad experiences I have had were due to typical poker players bitching and arguing and forcing the floor to settle some stupid argument. I had an experience at Foxwoods where I was heads up in a huge pot. It ended up chopped and the other player inadvertently took back his bet while I left mine in. Noone at the table noticed except a floor person who was watching the action. I thought that was excellent. |

Re: New Venetian poker room
Having $2 chips for the 2/4 and 4/8 games is dumb.
