Default PS $6.5 L7. 77 BTN against utg raise

Hi.. long time lurker, first time poster

Villain had been quite LAG on this level (about 30/25), but based on his earlier play there's prob a big gab between his raising and calling ranges. Blinds were fairly tight.. Push? Is calling a valid option?

I usually just fold in this spot, unless you are pretty sure you have a good amount of FE against villain.

What's your push range here? Calling with anything?

You can't call with anything. It's push or fold. What's villians range? Is he tight or has he been raising every hand? This is as important as your actual hand. Will he fold to a all-in w/KJo etc? If he won't fold crap hands(he's a donk), fold.

He had been tight until the 100/200 -level (about 14/8), so he seemed at least decent. But he had loosened up alot, raising several hands at this level. I had a hard time putting him on a range UTG. If he would've raised from the CO it'd shove all day. He is def capable of folding mediocre holdings..

So I guess shove is slightly better?

If he's been tight...Fold. He's raising UTG and has a strong range here. Your crushed by his range here.
