Effect on ROI: moving from one table to two or three

If a player is used to playing one game at a time and has a ROI of say 45%, what effect will it have on his ROI if he moves to two or three table? What percentage decrease can be expected?

I'm sure we can all agree that our ROIs would be inflated if we could concentrate on playing one game at a time, but our $/hour would probably be lower also.

This is gonna very from person to person. It's up to you to find the optimum hourly rate.

I personally think that anyone can play up to 4 sng's without damaging their ROI

It will drop, and drop a lot. Because this person with the 45% ROI is running hot and only 1-tabling has a small sample.

Adding tables this person will get a larger sample and his ROI will drop to a more reasonable ROI.

As for the effect of adding one or two tables, it should be minimal once you are confident in your push fold game.

From experience, I suggest that you start playing 3 or 4 tables, and when you get used to that, you can add more tables.

I found out that I reacted must faster after doing this, so now I`m playing 12 tables on my laptop with an okay roi (could have been better).. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

It's not a massive change. Biggest problem I had was on the bubble or ITM when I still had 3 or more tables going. It was tough keeping up at first, but you get used to it.

A player with an ROI of 45% should keep playing one table until he survives his first catastrophic downswing, then reevaluate.
