I mean, (despite recent troubles) the Yankees would rather have Gagne than Vizcaino

[/ QUOTE ]

Absolutely. At the deadline, I was very pissed that the Sox got Gagne and the Yankees didn't. The Yankees bullpen was overworked and in shambles. But hindsight is 20/20 and as a Yankee fan I can now enjoy every Gagne miscue.

I think he is saying that NYY would still rather have Gagne over Vizcaino. What does hindsight have to do with that?

Is it just me being a bitter yankee fan tired of getting pwned by him, or is krods super pumped *point to the sky and thank god* after every inning he pitches not stupidly over the top? i cant think of any player who does something more dramatic than him, and he does it absolutely every time ive seen him pitch and finish an inning. then again maybe im always just pissed off when he does it because he pwned my team.

[/ QUOTE ]

Every Dominican closer does this. Look at Valverde, Cordero etc. Look at Joba in the 8th inning of a 5-1? game taking off his glove after each strikeout, and yelling as he walks off the mound because he got a hold.

A lot of people do it.

not sure if you are putting him in that category, but joba is not dominican. although yes, he certainly does it more than we are used to from a yankee. wasn't the 5-1 game his debut? afaiac, a rookie can yell all he wants if he pitches a scoreless inning for his debut. more often than not, rookie pitchers get lit up.

I know he isn't dominican, I was just relating that the Yankees have players that do it as well. I was also talking about his 2nd appearance when he did that stuff. I dont remember which game or the score, but remember thinking that he was a little too animated for what he had just done. K-Rod and the others do it as well, so I was just pointing out that it isn't a K-Rod only thing.

I would have been so ridiculously pissed if the Yanks traded for Gagne. Their bullpen is already absolutely loaded. Unfortunately they've all been in AAA for most of the year.

His second appearance. First at Yankee Stadium. 6-5 game. The crowd on their feet chanting his name after after he strikes out Miguel Tejada, makes Millar look silly and then strikes out Aubrey Huff. Yeah, I would have been super pumped too.

Also, he wasn't thanking god for doing well. I'm sure the Christian God would give a shizz about a baseball game. It's a bunch of BS.

g-bebe:

who are you going to bring in in the 8th? sean henn, ron villone, or kyle farnsworth? the answer is pretty easy.

last night was a game we lost in part because of the joba rules.

[/ QUOTE ]

right, farnsworth is the best option of the three, i'd agree, but just because he's the best in that group, doesn't mean i have to be happy with him being in. i'm just still somewhat dissapointed we dealt proctor at the deadline instead of farnsworth

if we deal farnsworth, we get a rosin bag back for him. we got wilson betemit for proctor which is huge.
