Making my video

I did a video with sound but is very big like 150MB and lasts few minutes.Is there a way to compact it?If I put the file on megaupload and then i link to my blog it can t be zipped..at the same time if i want make a video of 1 hour it takes too much time for download.
Ah i did it with video recorder and it s .avi
Any suggests?
