what is MO?

[/ QUOTE ]

Modus operandi (often used in the abbreviated forms MO, M.O. or simply Method) is a Latin phrase, approximately translated as "mode of operation."

Baluga Theorem says fold it.

[/ QUOTE ]

i see you throwing this theorem everywhere.

do you know what it means? turn raise or turn c/r means your 1p is no good. villain is OOP and did not c/r he open shoved.

this is such a weird line i don't know what it means.
if he has a hand, it is QJ. if not, it is air/fd

Fold turn.

I doubt he has AQ clubs or anything based on preflop action, but it looks like bottom set to me.

Baluga uses all in Raises in his examples I think... Maybe I don't understand it fully. I think you are right he does say check raise all in so an open shove is different.

FWIW, my take on this hand is that villain is semi-bluffing with a flush draw.

You are getting about 1.8-1 on the call. I would fold here as I think that you are facing a set nearly all the time. I can't think of any other hands that would do this.

I think you're about 50%, and call. What's wrong with this range:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>Board: 4s Qs 2c Jc
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 47.516% 46.35% 01.16% 877 22.00 { KdKs }
Hand 1: 52.484% 51.32% 01.16% 971 22.00 { JJ+, 44, 22, AcKc, AsKs, AQs, AsJs, KQs, QJs, 6s5s, 5s3s, AQo, KQo }
</pre><hr />

I figure it's kind of like a tough physics problem or math problem. I would do it wrong several times before it finally clicked and I learned it, so I figure if I use it over-zealously and get flamed for it I'll learn where the right spots to use it are.

With a gut feeling then call. You're experienced enough to trust those instincts. Without one then folding looks fine, but its very close. I for one don't think a good LAG (which I'm assuming he is) will ever show up with QJ here. My stats are similar to this villian's and QJ is not typically in my limp/calling range vs. a decent TAG and definitely not being c/r on this flop. He will show up with 6s5s, 5s3s, As3s and some other hands here often. 22 and 44 are the most likely in my mind, but if you have one of those feelings then 33, 55, and 66 are also possible I guess.

I feel like it is a semi-bluff pretty often. The 2.5x c/r on flop with an open shove on turn smells strongly of FPS. I see him as thinking he will show enough aggression on the flop so as to make turn look believable, as well as pick up some extra money if he folds you out.

I don't think QJ is part of his range either. I am only really worried about a set of 2's or 4's here.
If your gut feeling in the moment was strong here I totally am in support of a call.
