check turn, you turned your hand into a bluff and made him lay down his J.
If the turn gets checked through you can value bet river o ch/ call a bet.
You're only getting called by better hands on turn so you're not gaining any value from better hands by betting.
The only thing you accomplish is to avoid getting bluffed.

I think we get bluffed by this turn card a large percentage of the time...however I think I like docnuclear's advice nonetheless.

Flop is fine - hate the turn bet. I check and see what he does. VBet river if he checks behind

Bet/fold is way better then c/c on the river here
