Default Percentage of bettors that win.

I know to win- your win percentage has to be above 53% for a year.

What is the percentage of bettors that win each year?

I have heard from sources that only 5% of bettors win over the long term 5-10 years - is this correct?

I would guess that of bettors that actively bet for 10 years or more, the percentage of winners is substantially higher than 5%.

I think that if it is someone who is a degenerate gambler who has no bankroll management skills then most likely by the time they hit 5 years of this they will be broke financially and probably mentally broken down also.

Like Whipsaw said people doing this for 10 or more years I would guess more than 50% of them are successful assuming they have proper bankroll management skills.

I am a complete NIT when it comes to bankroll management. That is how I managed to turn a free $10 into six figures online over the last couple years. Once I hit a couple hundred there was no turning back with poker bonuses, casino bonuses, rakeback and even sportsbook bonuses.

The said thing is since Oct. the chances I had with bonuses are no longer a possibility for a new player. Anyone with breakeven or better poker skills and good bankroll management could easily go robusto. No Neteller = no robusto. I miss this time last year.

Yeah, the casino, bj, sports and etc bonii have all gone way down in value. No more autoplay get my $600 in bonus and whatever I won that night while I slept...so sad!

Remember the Party 10% monthly bonus on your acc't balance? It makes me cry just thinking about it!!

Damn don't mention those autoplay bonuses. Nothing like setting it up to play 6 hours of BJ for ya over night and waking up to a few hundred + on the bankroll. Damn I hate the US Gov.

Also I remember 2 Januarys ago when Party had like 6 different bonuses that they forgot to make account specific. Boy was that fun playing 9 tables at a time on 2 accounts to clear like 16,000 hands in a 7 day period.

Mindstatez what the hell are you babbling about now? Most people would go through a phase with sportsbetting. If they haven't lost it all within 10 years of actively doing this there is a good chance they are on the winning side.

What percentage of people who bet sports will make it to 10+ years of betting? Probably 1% or less.

Oddly enough some people do make money at this mindstatez.

Brendan,

No offense, but you obviously have no idea what you're talking about here. There aren't "substantially more than 5%" winning sports bettors after ten years, plain and simple.

mindstatez you have no clue what you are talking about. Why don't you for once try to offer something to the discussion at hand instead of simple 1 liners as usual on 2+2. If someone is actively betting sports year in and year out for 10+ years there is gonna be "substantially more than 5%" who are winning bettors/cappers.

I guess your definition of "actively betting" is different than ours. I take it to mean someone who is at least spending time daily capping games in the sports they bet. Of those people who do this for say a season or two eventually they will move on to something else if they aren't very successful. Of those who make it to the 10 year mark the majority of them will be winning bettors.

Do you disagree with this?

Yeah, because people only continue playing if they're successful for two seasons. Thats also enough time to determine if they're winning bettors, two seasons. haha.

Yeah, because recreational gamblers (those who don't earn a living gambling, but nonetheless play every season), they don't keep coming back.

And because degenerate gamblers (those who play way more than they should, and are habitual addicts) quickly stop playing after one year, and don't continue with their degenerative habits every year.

And because people like you, who play your little [censored]' parlays, think you're so smart, stick around thinking you're good enough to hammer books week in and week out for as long as you want, and that your "big win" is comin or that so long as you are winning now it'll continue!

I don't know who the [censored] you are, or if you're trolling here or what, but you are out of your stinking mind if you think a SUBSTANTIAL amount of players, substantially MORE than 5% of players are WINNERS simply because they play for 10 seasons!!!!
