Default NL25 AA reraised on flop

EverestPoker $0.15/$0.25 - No Limit Hold'em

CO$46.83)
BTN$16.15)
SB$14.50)
BB$7.36)
UTG$5.50)
MP: Hero ($24.05)
Preflop:
Dealt to Hero[A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]]
UTG calls $0.25, , Hero raises 1.15 , CO fold, 3 fold, BTN calls 1.15

FLOP Flop: [8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]
Hero bets $2.00, BTN raises to $8.95

I folded here. BTN was 18/2/.5 or something (I was 14/10/2), but samplesize was only 15 hands so had no read at all. Board was really drawy.
I think I did the right thing, but it feels kinda bad when:
BTN shows [Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]

Maybe I'm result orientated, but given villain's stack and the board he could be doing this with a draw or TT+. I would push.

Raise more preflop, say $1.5.

As for the flop reraise BTN all in. I dont see BTN having a set or two pair here. If he is drawing which is possible then he is behind you so make him pay.

OP the flop being drawy means he is pushing with more hands you are ahead of so you shold be more inclined to call.
Esp with this guys stack size and only 7 to call. You are beating so many hands he pushes with here.

Hmm, fair enough, might have been influenced by some previous hands that session where other big hands were cracked.
About the raise, that is the standard PF raise on Everest (standard button) . Why should I've raised 6x the BB when I normally never do that?

You folded? This should be an insta-raise all in.

When you make the initial flop bet your thought process should be "since I am NEVER folding AA in a raised pot to a half-stack on this flop, how can I get all his money in?"

Had you done that you would not have made this horrible horrible horrible lay down.

When a guy has significantly less than a full buy-in, as the villain does, the flop would have to come QJT monotone for me to consider NOT getting all my money in with AA.

Too much thinking here.

By the way, buddy-list this fool.
