Default NL1000: QJo turns straight on 3-flush board against LAG

NL1000, 5-handed.

Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and $1435.20.

BTN is 34/26/2.7 LAG over 200 hands with $1442.75. 50% attempt to steal. Much of these stats are from 4-handed games though.

He has previously called my 3bet OOP with A9s. He hasn't done much (else) spewy.

2 folds, BTN raises to $35, SB folds, Hero raises to $140, BTN calls.

Flop A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($285)

Hero bets $240, BTN calls.

Turn J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($765)

Hero checks (I plan to stackadonk), villain checks.

River 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($765)

There is $1055 behind.

Hero cannot decide whether to:
a) shove to remove the problem that if we bet smaller we get fully stacked when he has a flush but only win less when he doesn't,
b) value bet $500 and call a shove,
c) bet $220 to incite a bluff (and call, obv).

I don't think he bets enough on this board if he didn't bet turn to check/call or check/raise, but perhaps I'm wrong.

I don't like bet/fold here as I just felt he will raise with enough sets/two pair to make it a bad option. Maybe I'm wrong about that as well.

Wouldn't this still be a problem if you shove?

No because we get full value when he makes a hero call with set/two pair.

But wouldn't he be far more likely to make that hero call if you put in a smaller value bet rather than shoving?

[/ QUOTE ]Not necessarily. And then we usually win $500 when we win and always lose $1055 when we lose.
