OP should not have to apologize, he definatel did nothing and I don't think he should have to pay even the original 8 chips, definately not 16.

And no one else even mentioned that the original bettor reneged on his re-raise after it was clearly announced? How should he be allowed to do that?

It was no problem. No one was deeply offended and they were both happy to split my chips. I was a statesman and quietly placed my chips in the middle of the table - no problems...

My whole point to this thread was not to cry or bemoan my fate, it was to state a fact - KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AT THE TABLE.
