that'd be funny if i spark some sick idea and end up a millionaire from a silly email.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't see Stars implementing this but I can't possibly think of all of the times I have made sick amounts of money from firing off silly emails just like that...mostly in the middle of the night on some kind of caffiene brainstorming rush.

IMO there are two kinds of people in this world. Those who see the value in making proposals such as that, knowing full well most of them will lead nowhere...but a small % will lead somewhere great...and those who think people who do things like that are stupid. Another word for this second group of people is 'losers'

Not saying OP is a loser, as a (former?) business owner I'm sure he see's the value in the initiative/thought process, if not the value in this particular idea

OK I have this really dumb but really cool idea. For a small fee, you can get sent a constant flow of (made-up small-talk) text messages so that you look mega popular. Handy for impressing a date, especially if you're an online pro with no friends.

You guys can have that one for free. But seriously, thoughts?

This might be way too serious for BBV, but...

I've launched and sold a number of successful businesses at this point. It isn't that I don't see the value in taking initiative and believing in your ideas, it's just that gambler2k4 is ridiculous. He seriously thinks HE is going to be the cash game pro. I would have taken it 100x more seriously if he offered to be some sort of liaison between Stars and a group of players from places such as CR, 2+2, etc. But he seriously suggested that he teach people how to play poker. I'm not saying I could, but I'm smart enough to know not to say that I could.

Either way, Stars wouldn't do it. They might offer some sort of intro lessons to get people started in some form, but the chances of Stars launching a CR-like service is basically zero. They have no incentive to make people better at poker or make it seem like they're training a group of people to take money from the fish. It's just a terrible idea overall (ie, a poker site running a serious teaching school for advanced players).

(2:59:41 AM) gambler2k4: Hello Troy,

Thank you for your email.

I can see from your account that you are indeed a successful player on our site. I found your suggestion to have merit and as such have forwarded it to the people responsible for considering such ideas.

We appreciate feedback and ideas from players, as after all, you are the people we are doing all this for.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Thank you for playing at PokerStars.

Regards,
