Re: Would Chris Ferguson Be a Good Cash Game Player?
[ QUOTE ]
The guy is an authority on game theory and a giant winner in tournaments. He is also more intelligent than 99.9% of his opponents. He could easily beat all but perhaps the very highest games. [/ QUOTE ] |

I would bet that he couldn't beat around 3-6 or 5-10 on Stars

Re: Would Chris Ferguson Be a Good Cash Game Player?
I still don't know. Cash games play very differently from tourneys. Deep stack medium to high stakes NLHE cash games are that much harder/different from tourneys.
I believe a person of Chris Ferguson's skills could beat low stakes cash games, but still wonder how he'd do in say $10-20 NLHE and above (cash games). Could he step right in an beat a $10-20 NLHE game for a few months straight? -TheMan |

What can i say but: lol? LIke Hellmuth and Ferguson could not beat the MNL games? Oh i know: you're all morons. [/ QUOTE ] Well, I absolutely think CF would struggle in say a $20-40 NLHE game at the Commerce. That's the "high" for my definition of mid-stakes NL games. Anything above ($25-50) would be high stakes for me. If you'v seen the $20-40, you'll know there are some seriously good players, who would probably pick apart CF and PH's cash game skills. -TheMan |

[ QUOTE ] Chris is a world class player. I don't see how people think he would be anything less in a cash game. LOL @ these responses for sure. [/ QUOTE ] If you study his tournament style closely enough you see his main thought in the early stages is 'ima wait for the blinds to go up' BUT THEY WON'T And fyi PH has had one losing trip in 2 years. TWO YEARS. [/ QUOTE ] nh sir. |

Re: Would Chris Ferguson Be a Good Cash Game Player?
Obviously he wouldn't. Solid tight agressive play with great discipline, mathematics and intelligence can't even beat micro limits nowadays.
