What happened to the 15/30 at Hustler?
That game used to be great - last couple of times I've visited the Hustler it wasn't running and the floorman called it a "dead game." As recently as two months ago they were spreading two tables every night. Where the hell did it go?

Re: What happened to the 15/30 at Hustler?
poker games come and go. some of the donators may have stopped playing, moved up to 25/50, moved to another cardroom, and if there aren't enough new players the game dries up.

poker games come and go. [/ QUOTE ] Understood - it just seemed to happen so quickly. Where are all the players now? Are they at a 15 at another casino or are they all just playing 25 at Hustler? |

Re: What happened to the 15/30 at Hustler?
I always preferred 15-30 to 20-49 because the 2-3 blind structure almost always facilitates a juicier game, Mason wrote a pretty interesting piece about game structures in one of his 'Poker Essays books' mainly in relation to stud, that explained the phenomenon better

Re: What happened to the 15/30 at Hustler?
OK, new question - does the 15 still run at HP? Is it still good?
Is there a good 15 game anywhere in LA or is it just the 20 at Commerce now? Would be kind of crazy for there to be nothing between 9/18 and 20/40 in the "poker capital of the world." |

As recently as two months ago they were spreading two tables every night. Where the hell did it go? [/ QUOTE ] For a while they dropped the big $40K seed on the jackpot (it's back now) and that hurt. It's also the smallest "top section" limit game in town and that tends to nit up things over time. Anyway, when the jackpot was lowered people looked elsewhere (or finally took a stab at no limit) and now the game has lost critical mass. I didn't like this game primarily because the table spacing in that section is about the worse in the city, i.e., from the middle seats you can practically feel the body heat from the next table. The more open end seats would get claimed by regulars and almost never open for someone claustrophobic like myself. IMO the Hustler is nice in many ways but has a few comfort problems that may fly below their management's radar. For example, the chairs are plush but for me (and a few others I've spoken with) the least comfortable in town. They also need better chair glides (look at what Commerce welds on to the black chairs in their middle section). At the Hustler moving your chair an inch requires that you pick it up; you simply can't scrunch and slide around. Table spacing is an often overlooked problem by management IMO. OK - rant over. ~ Rick |

The last time I was at the Hollywood Park, a few months ago, they were spreading 15/30 there.
