Default Crazy hand with Phil Ivey from FTOPS #12

The flop is an obvious cooler. But what about his call preflop? Looks like he was bored with the tourney and was looking to gamble.

if u fold at any point you are a bad player. cuz 95% of the time your up against a hand other than 1010. im just a penny player, but it seems like you guys sometimes dont realize that sometimes you are going to go broke in a hand no matter what. yeah after you call and see his cards and that you lose its obv. you shouldve folded but you cant fold short of having him turn over his cards and show u ur beat and tell u to fold.

qk1234,

Its funny how you come into this thread accusing others of being idiots.

You are a clown.

Ivey's play preflop is horrible.

Hi guys, is it really this terrible? He calls a normal raise with a mid-pp from the hijack, getting 1.7:1. Imho correct - isnīt it?

After the raising-war he can be sure to be behind, nevertheless he gets odds of nearly 4.5:1. Isnīt this enough to call here? With the given action he should be somewhat sure to get the proper implied odds if he hits his set.

Or am I wrong?
