Settle an argument for me: who would you rather have on YOUR team: Matt Leinart or Alex Smith? (EDIT: I'm asking which QB is more talented, not who will be more successful because of the team they play for)

Leinart and it's not even close.
He's got more powerful weapons than SF does. Plus, he has proven more effective than Alex Smith in the past. Alex Smith hasn't even been drafted in most of the fantasy leagues I've been in. |

[/ QUOTE ] Forget their fantasy rankings and the team they play for, I'm just asking which QB you would want on YOUR favorite team. I'm curious what people think about their abilities, not the teams they play for. |

I think Smith has potential but I'd want Leinart on my team.

at this point, both guys have so little experience that you have to go on their previous experiences. leinart clearly has a better track record so you have to take him. they are both the same kind of qb tho, accurate, finesse passers, it will be interesting to see which one proves superior in the next few years

Leinart will be a top 5 QB in a few years.
An extra two season in college is huge. |
