Bet flop

Bet turn.

Both of those checks are horrendous, sorry, but what other kind've flop are you expecting to hit? If he has a flush draw you are giving him free cards. If he has a lower King you are not getting any value. Do you know any reason as to why you would check these hands at all?

I guess with how you played it I would just call the river. He doubled the pot on the bet and he could have any hand at all. I don't know why he would bluff 2x pot on river if he was bluffing because it looks like you have absolutely no hand because you would obviously bet any king or queen(once again don't know why you didn't)..The only hand he can have that you actually have beat and he bets like this might be AQ.

Edit: for some clarity so I don't look stupid. The guy is very unaggressive so the huge bet looks like a runner runnered straight or flush. If he was bluffing he would bet 3/4 pot or so because why would any unaggro player bet 2x pot for a bluff against someone who has shown no aggression at all. The huge bet screams huge hand unless he is just really bad at bluffing. Any good hand like AQ would prob bet 12-15 IMO to get some money, but his 25 looks like it is screaming "God I hope he hits something and will call this huge bet"

well I check for pot control, and to get worse hands to bet. I dunno, maybe bet flop/ check turn. I don't want to get all-in with the hand.

Betting 12 on flop, 25 or so on turn is not getting anywhere near to all-in at all.

If he keeps smoothe calling and you are worried then maybe check river behind if you are that worried about something. I dunno why you would play pot control in a $12 pot? You also don't need worse hands to bet. Worse hands CALLING seems perfectly fine and lets you have the control in the hand

I bet 12, he calls, I bet 25, he goes allin....I fold?
SPR of 12, I think it's worth keeping the pot smallish

Oh god.

I haven't read anything about SPR but if it is preaching to keep this pot small like you are doing here then this book was a huge letdown.

This pot being small is fine. If you are scared to bet because of what happened up there then you should move down where you can handle losing a medium sized pot. If he c-r all-in on turn, then yes you can fold. Of course he could just call and you could win an actual pot instead of checking down and being completely confused about his hand and playing blind with almost 0 information.

This was a horrible way to play this hand. What were you expecting to flop? Why are you giving free cards to draws? The way you played this hand there is no way to know where you stand in the hand. Please bet the flop and do not allow free cards.
