Combo vs nutter
No Limit Hold'em Ring Game (6 max) , 6 players
Blinds : $1/$2 Stacks: UTG : $200 MP : $246 (Hero) CO : $200 BTN : $95.50 SB : $209.20 BB : $157.60 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is MP with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $7, 3 folds, BB calls. Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($15, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $11, BB calls. Turn: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($37, 2 players) BB bets $20, Hero ... Villain is very aggro, bluffy, loose, likes to "outplay" and bully people with big bets. This turn donk is probably a feeler, maybe with a monster, maybe with air, he's trying to see if I will raise or just call. So, raise or call? (why?) Do I need to hit my draw? What to do on the river if I don't hit? |

Re: Combo vs nutter
in position, against this opponent, i like calling the turn. if he hit, he might bluff into you thinking a 4 or a 9 is a scare card for ya. plus your top pair has a lot of value in this spot. raising will put you too many difficult decisions imo.
i dont think you need to hit your draw. if you dont, and he bets again, im probably calling most river bets. |

Re: Combo vs nutter
I'd just call here, but I would not be surprised at all if this meatball shows up with a 4 here. On the river it depends on your reads - given the read you gave I guess I call the river again, against some villains I will fold river unimproved.

Re: Combo vs nutter
Yeah the whole problem is having no idea if he has a 4 or not. He totally could have it, or he could have a lot of other thing, such as naked clubs.

Re: Combo vs nutter
If you describe villain as "bluffy" I think this is a call, but it is close IMO.

Re: Combo vs nutter
i don't like these type of draws, they are one of the weakest combo draws out there. i would probably call turn rather than raise.
the river is really tough, he probably has a 4 or air, or he sucked out with a J |
