How many RBs can you start? Is it a keeper league? A Pete looks awesome. If its a keeper league....

If you can start 3 backs, trade TO for Westbrook. He's a stud.

[/ QUOTE ]

Non-keeper, start 2 backs, 3 wide receivers. No flex positions. My starting lineup is this:

QB - Phillip Rivers
RB - Frank Gore
RB - Reggie Bush
WR - Terrell Owens
WR - T.J. Houshmanzadeh (sp?)
WR - Reggie Brown
TE - Vernon Davis
K - Matt Stover
DEF - Carolina Panthers

Backups
QB - Eli Manning
RB - Brandon Jacobs
RB - Cadillac Williams
RB - Brandon Jackson
WR - Mark Clayton
DEF - Dallas Cowboys

His team:
QB - Peyton Manning
WR - Reggie Wayne
WR - Laveranues Coles
WR - Jericho Cotchery
RB - Brian Westbrook
RB - Adrian Peterson
TE - Jason Witten
K - Josh Brown
DEF - Baltimore Ravens

Bench
QB - Donovan McNabb
QB - Chad Pennington
RB - Chester Taylor
WR - Joe Horn
WR - Ronald Curry
DEF - Philadelphia Eagles

"forget the trade...gates isn't THAT much better than watson "

Yes Gates is THAT much better than Watson.

[/ QUOTE ]

% wise, yes. point wise, no.

[/ QUOTE ]

Please know what you are talking about. Gates outscored Watson by 4.4 point per game. In standard scoring, no PPR. In PPR it is even larger.

[/ QUOTE ]

gates ADP is ~30
Watson ADP is ~100

4.4 pts is not that much for 70 picks later in a draft.

Question to all FF owners:

At what point would you consider picking Larry Johnson in a draft?

In a hypothetical scenario where Johnson drops to the very end of the first round, would you pick him in that spot despite not yet signing a contract?

[/ QUOTE ]

I forget if this was asked in this thread or in another already but the thinking was 8 to 10.

Bob,

You don't have enough depth at WR to make that trade, not to mention it's not a good trade to begin with. If you can get Wayne + McNabb for TO + something I would consider it, but I'd honestly stand pat

ChaseUdown,

You getting ownes by the Soss here. Gates vs. another TE is far better but you have to compare the ADP spot as well, not just the position spot. This goes especially true if you have a flex spot.

Super,

Larry should be drafted in the 1st rd. If you are at the end of it and he falls you should most definetly pick him up. The amount of money it will cost LJ to sit out the first 10 games plus the amount KC is offering plus the value he may lose from 'being away from football for that long' should translate into him signing before the start of the year.

All,

Please tell me who is better at a 5th rd pick. D.Jackson, M.Clayton, J,Cotchery, F.Taylor, J.Jones, B.Jacobs, or OTHER.......Spot #58 (Assume you have 2RB's and 2WR's already).

1st overall pick, 8 team(yeah we had two people drop at the last minute)PPR league, with 2 rb, 2 wr, and a flex. 6 pts for all touchdowns. What I'm wondering is who should I start at my flex position. I drafted many RBs because I could use them later as trade bait.

LaDainian Tomlinson
Brian Westbrook
Antonio Gates
Travis Henry
Larry Fitzgerald
Andre Johnson
Jon Kitna
Matt Leinart
Adrian Peterson
Thomas Jones
Darrell Jackson
D.J. Hackett
Marshawn Lynch
Carolina Defense
Robbie Gould

Anyone recommend a good site for basically a primer on FF? I'm doing a serious one, for money, for the first time this year. I've done baseball many times, but I've only done football for fun, meaning I did no research, picked based on just guessing, and didn't really care how I did. Now, I'm interested in things like: I'm in a 10 team league with 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K and DEF....what spots should I fill first? How do I determine if too many RBs are gone and I should now shift to QB or something like that? I am basically clueless as to the strategy and the specific stats I'm interested in. Any retard can look at the Yahoo rankings or whatever. Anyone got any sites that give a good strategy rundown? Everything I'm finding on a search is stuff like "Watch out for Larry Johnson!" and "Yeah, Peyton is good, but he is due to have a relative bust year!" which all seems like useless crap.

If you're willing to pay $27, it's www.footballguys.com and nobody else is close.
