100NL - TPWK against bluff-happy villain
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)
SB: $119.15 BB: $45.40 UTG: $40.00 MP: $221.65 Hero (CO): $100.00 BTN: $175.80 UTG posts $1.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players) UTG checks, MP folds, Hero raises to $4.50, BTN folds, SB calls $4.00, 2 folds Flop: ($11) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A T (2 Players) SB checks, Hero checks Turn: ($11) 5 (2 Players) SB bets $11.00, Hero calls $11.00 River: ($33) J (2 Players) SB bets all-in for $103.65, Hero? I know this is read dependent, but IMO it's a tough spot and wondering how people normally handle this type of situation against bluff happy idiots. I had played with villain for ~30-45 minutes on a couple of tables and he was definitely bluffing a lot. Villain's (endoftime7T, if anyone has played with him) stats at the time were around 40/30/2.5 over 100 hands, went to showdown 30% of the time, won 30% of the time. This was the first time he overbet. I checked flop so I could let him PSB bluff on turn and river and would call. I presume he probably put me on like KK/QQ. We didn't have any special history. |

Re: 100NL - TPWK against bluff-happy villain
Id fold river, flop and turn is K but i bet this flop about 80% of the times. His line is consistant with every hand that beats you.

Re: 100NL - TPWK against bluff-happy villain
Against almost all villains I bet this flop. I felt he would definitely bet turn and river almost always, so I decided not to bet.

i think the c/c line is fine, rope a dope and all that. you have to fold the river obviously.

Re: 100NL - TPWK against bluff-happy villain
even considering this type of player i cant see a reason to check the flop. because now.. u just dont know what he has.
hes turn bets means nothing as u showed weakness and he is relatively agressive.. so now u just have to give him credit for anything that beats u. |

Re: 100NL - TPWK against bluff-happy villain
God you guys are so wrong. Checking flop is perfect. Obviously call a normal river bet.
As for the shove, fold if he hasn't been doing that before, but if he starts attacking weakness really hard then you can look at making a call. |

Re: 100NL - TPWK against bluff-happy villain
I would fold river against such a huge overbet, but would have probably called up to a pot sized bet. Not the best river card in the world either, he could have easily made a flush or even a straight.
