What\'s With Avatar Restriction on Stars?
Is there some reason why they only allow one image change at Stars? Just curious.

Re: What\'s With Avatar Restriction on Stars?
Because there are so many players with custom avatars that have to be approved by PS. It would be a daunting task to screen everyones avatar if there were lots of changes. At least thats how they explained it to me when I e-mailed support a year or so ago with the same question. If you e-mail them with a good excuse they will sometimes still let you change it I think.

Re: What\'s With Avatar Restriction on Stars?
If I email them, do they just take off the restriction or do I have to email them for every change (not that I plan on changing it often)?
Oh, and people really play poker for play money? |

Re: What\'s With Avatar Restriction on Stars?
Basically, we have to screen every avatar before it's posted, and if there was no restriction, people would be changing on a daily basis. We have to screen them because I guess people every day think that they are the first ones to think of putting some naked woman or porno shot as their avatar. We reject many many avatars per day (as well as user IDs) - I just scrolled through the last 100 submitted and found one image and two user IDs that I rejected.
If you simply want to change it one more time, as stated elsewhere, just email support. As long as you don't abuse the privilege, you'll be granted one additional change each time. Although there is no set rule, a good rule of thumb would be that abusing the privilege would be multiple changes per month, or once you get past about 5 changes overall. |

PokerStars support seems to have developed qualities that are human in nature...
They must be stopped |
