Default 27$ PS - AK early - am I throwing away chips here?

This is a kind of spot where I don't really know whether playing for implied odds makes sense.

I'd say you do. I don't like to be the guy that's calling. Either you fold or you're the original raiser. =)

I think I fold turn, just doesn't seem worth it this early.

i fold the turn.
no matter what you hit you might be beaten already.

semibluff the flop and if called chances are you get a free river.

Any notes on the player? If we put the villan on a range of AK, TT+ we are 1/2 to win the pot by the river, the pot is laying us 2.3/1 The problem is if a spade hits on the turn it will be very difficult to get paid anything... he may even have the A spades.

I think this is pretty marginal, as played I'd make the call hoping to hit a King as it has the most chance of getting paid off. I'd be happier if we had the nut draw though.

why not betting the flop in position? chances are you are taking the pot right here or at least know where you stand. the board is drawy enough for the others to have a real holding to call...if he has teh nut flush already he will call flop and check turn so you can get away cheaply...

Betting the flop to check where I am is really bad, I know exactly where I am now: BEHIND!

My hand is not dead and I have been given a chance to improve for free.

With the K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check/fold the flop and turn, its not worth calling that big turn bet when you don't even have the nut flush draw.

If I had A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] instead I would be betting the flop and getting all in if there was a raise since you have the nut draw and two possible overs. I like it a lot better when you hold two to the flush in your hand and there are two to the board but I think its still fine to be aggressive in that case.
