Betting the turn is a lot better. He isn't bet/folding anything but air, especially to you. I suppose he could have floated with the same hand as you or a weak draw, but meh, don't like it still.

I like it if you don't do it too often.
I usually do this with a combodraw when that A hits.
Either he checks behind and I get a free card or he needs a very strong hand to call the raise and if he calls you have outs and he will be much more careful to bet weak made hands in the future on the turn.

You are also repping a very strong hand like a set or 2p much more than a draw so a one pair hand should not be able to call and if they do you can value bet them to death later on.

A bet on the turn from you smells real fischy. It looks like a pure bluff that you let go to a raise or a draw.
