man, both of these are really tough.
1st one - you might make a sort of info raise or at least slowdown type raise, and fold to a 3bet, but calling is probably at least as good. on the river his range is pretty polarised. air or a flush. i usually find donks don't immediately bet the flush when they have it, they prefer to check behind and then bet the river, so his line is weird. because of that, i may have called a river bet, but the massive overbet is just super tough. i think the fold is right because we are getting poor odds, we have to be right quite alot. 2nd hand - normally a bet fold would be in order, but here the pot is too big for a bet fold, since you would have to call a shove if you do bet the river. i think i would fold the river here too |
