Why wouldn't you raise the flop here... it makes the hand easier to play?

This doesn't make sense. We would be sacrificing a lot of value in a 4-5 handed pot to possibly clean up some A outs and to "define" our hand.

In a 2-3 handed pot this is the play; 4-5 handed, isolating the aggresser to make the hand "easier" to play is shallow thinking.

Good player or not, I'm not sure I like folding a nut flush to a 3-bet. That almost makes it correct for him to re-raise us with his inferior hands as well as his nut hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

I said consider . In fact I never folded a flush in the last 2 years, almost heh.

This flop is a raise, as anyone behind with a pair may very call anyway. If not, we have over 50% equity in this pot, so playing hu is fine. On the river, this is a raise/call, because his line is just too dumb to fold to. Now that The MPC has been kind enough to convene and render judgement on the proper of course of action for this hand, you all can stop responding, as no more discussion is necessary.

The flop is an easy raise. It's not about cleaning up A outs (that's just a potential added bonus) as it is about pushing your equity edge, which is huge.

i've wrote a response numerous times, and i think my conclusion is that villain's play sucks almost regardless of what he has, maybe KcQd or JcTd and a wierd line with board pairing and being out of position etc, but i certainly would not ever fold to the 3-bet, i would consider going 4 before folding and thats a big spew - anyway, interested in hearing other hands from that game if you have them
