Default FFS -- People Abusing Disconnect Protects

I have had this happen to me 4 times today. People disconnecting when I make a large bet in a big pot to see the rest of the community cards for free. What is the policy on such behavior on most sites, particularly PartyPoker? Has anyone ever reported it and if so, did they tell you whta their stance is on such stuff?

I guess it's to the "No DP" tables now before I go on tilt.

People who do it are douches. Report them to the site you play - thats all you can do.

Here is the most recent one.

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $63.00
BB: $283.85
UTG: $403.55
Mommys_Visa (MP): $232.95
CO: $203.15
babai5555: $206.45

Preflop: Mommys_Visa is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, Mommys_Visa raises to $6.00, CO folds, babai5555 calls $6.00, SB folds, BB calls $4.00

Flop: ($19) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB checks, Mommys_Visa bets $15.00, babai5555 raises to $40.00, BB folds, Mommys_Visa raises to $90.00
Uncalled bet of $50.00 returned to Mommys_Visa
babai5555 could not respond in time (disconnected)
Turn: ($99) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)

River: ($99) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)

Pot Size: $99.00 ($3 Rake)

babai5555 had 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (two pairs, Sixes and Fours) and WON (+$50.00)
Mommys_Visa had 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (a pair of Fours) and LOST (-$46.00)

I dug up Party's Policy as well:

"4. Disconnect protection is not intended to be used for any purpose other than a genuine disconnect. Any misuse of this policy may result in forfeiture of any monies won, tournament disqualification, the loss of the disconnect protection privilege, or expulsion from the site."

I'm gonna pursue this. I want my $100 back.

When I used to play on Party in the way back, I reported people a few times (with details/history etc.), and each time they revoked the guy's ability to use DP connection. Then they had the NO DP tables and I started playing those for the most part, and that was nice but I always worried the fish didn't know what "NO DP" meant and didn't sit at these tables as much, making it more or a regfest. Probably was just paranoia. Then they put in those stupid Monster tables, then they banned me and my countrymen from playing. Bastards.

Oh, and I REEALLLY doubt you will get your $100 back. They might revoke DP for the offender, though.

Thank you for taking the time to report a potentially suspect usage of
the 'disconnect protect' feature.

We have thoroughly investigated *'s account history with a
particular focus on the player's previous usage of this feature.

We have found that the hand you reported to us was indeed suspicious and
as the investigation has revealed further suspicious disconnects in the
past, we have proceeded to block the protection feature for this
account. In future, should the player disconnect, his/her hand will be
folded. The player concerned has been sent an email explaining the
reason for our actions.

If you need any further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact

That doesn't sound promising. I talked one of their investigators on the phone. He looked at the HH and agreed it looked like abuse. I also made it very clear that it cost me $100. He said he could not promise me a refund yet until their investigation was completed and that I would get a final email within 24 hours.

Dude you won't get a refund. I don't really think you deserve a $100 refund to be honest. Just get his DP revoked and move on.
