Default step 1 build big pot against aggressive player step 2 fold

7ish handed 40 game. Villain is one of the asian women who is a 1/2 regular. I don't know her name but have played with her a bit. She is not the big toothed one with a sorta deep voice but the short one with a tattoo on her back. She probably thinks I am not retarded and at the very least probably knows that I know she's not retarded.

So a fold or two and I raise QJ double suited. She 3bets next in, fold to me and I call.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I check, she checks. I have no idea whether this should worry me or not because I haven't seen her do this. Since I'm that retard that c/r like every drawy flop I think this could be a defensive check.

Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
I c/r, she 3bets and I have already formulated the perfect play as I am calling.

River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I bet/fold, finally convinced that she indeed flopped a much better hand than mine

To be honest after she 3bet me on the turn I had already decided she had like 77-88 exactly and was just 3betting for a free showdown since like every river is somewhat scary. I really can't fathom her raising the river with some sort of draw (the only realistic one is diamonds anyway) because me folding after making the pot so big is pretty unlikely.

Good or should I fold to turn 3bet or just show it down and call down?

Bet the turn and call down from there.

I dunno, in my experience everytime someone checks in a situation like that where you'd expect a bet, they have a bigg hand

I'd bet/call turn and would consider to b/f river

as played, I think b/f river is fine

Add that to the turn 3 bet and she's got a QJ crushed there every time. I'd have cc'd the turn and prolly cc'ed the river to induce a bluff.

i really don't like the turn c/r as her flop check usually means she has a monster or nothing

doesn't sound like this woman calls a river bet w/77-88. you probably should've checked on the end...

Joker's line seems solid here. This is a bad spot to C/R because the board is so drawy. Something like AJdd/KJdd would be in villain's range so that folding to the 3-bet is probably best once it's there, but I don't want to be in that spot.

Your read seems way too sure of itself when a draw is consistent with her play too. Why can't she be 3b semi bluffing the turn? Why did you decide it has to be a fsd play? As bakku said, it really looks like a draw or nothing... As played I would much rather c/c the river.

However, I like joker's advice for your plan starting on the turn.

I would check/call this down and see WTF she's up to. When people play hands funny, I'm inclined to look them up on the cheap.

...now tell me why this line of thinking sucks.
