Higher learning - Talk about a movie chalk full of retarded stereotypes. Some moron LA writer's (or John Singleton) idea of what college is like.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you kidding, there is a race war going on at every college in America, didn't you know that?

[/ QUOTE ]

semi-hijack Q. Are skinheads just a westcoast thing? I have never seen or heard of them in the south but yet they keep popping up in movies as this huge evil movement.

Double Jeopardy. It's one thing to just be awful, but it's another to run through every single Hollywood cliche while having your characters explain everything in dialog.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow i thought double jeopardy was mildly entertaining.

If anyone saw Cabin Fever or When A Stranger Calls, they were pretty atrocious

Cocktail sucks, but it's far from the worst movie ever.

My list remains unchanged since the last time this thread was done 3 weeks ago:

1. Natural Born Killers
2. Very Bad Things

These threads are always half retarded because people just throw out movies they didn't like.

Cocktail, Syrianna, Sin City, Alexander, et al. may be movies you didn't like, or even hated, but if they are the worst movies you've seen you should specify that you don't watch movies at all.

My Vote: Truly horrible movies generally get ruled out because they're so bad that they become hilarious. So the worst movie I've ever seen is one that runs right up to that line without crossing over, and is just painful. McHale's Navy. The fact Tom Arnold is in it probably influences my opinion heavily. (except for True Lies, in which is was hilarious)

An example of a film so bad its good. Gangland. This movie kicks ass on so many levels it just builds its own condo and tears it down. Seriously, get a bottle of whiskey and rent this flick with a few of your friends.

Yeah, as you and Dids said, these threads suck. C'mon people, haven't you ever seen "Jesus Christ: Vanpire Hunter" or "I Accidentally Domed Your Son"? ALthough JC:VH may be so awful it's entertaining ("Body of Christ" and a chest thump)

after giving it a bit more thought, I realize that what qualifies as a "worst movie ever" has to include letdown, reasonable expectation, etc. So, even though a movie like Patch Adams was absolutely terrible, anyone paying attention to Robin Williams could expect such a dud. The winner, therefore, is

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

possible the worst divide of expectation and results I can ever remember. take a great story, from a great storywriter, add a cast with a decent mix of quality, and put the movie together with as little attempt at quality from everyone involved, and you'd still think they'd make a better movie than this.

I disagree. You can be really disappointed in a movie and it still isn't near the worst movie ever. I'd rather watch LOEG 3x than watch either of the movies I mentioned above once. And I thought League sucked bad. I think what you are talking about is a completely different category.

9/tenths was simply horrible. I was angry for hours after watching it just because of how bad it was.
