Re: live 6/12, A3s SB flops middle pair + bdfd
I probably would have just bet out, but given this,
[ QUOTE ] BN is moderately TAGgy, will play a pretty wide range on the BN and will fire with a wide range when checked to. [/ QUOTE ] I think I'm checkraising here. |

Value bet? [/ QUOTE ] It all depends on whether they will call more often than they would bluff with hands worse than yours. From your description, I think that is likely and I would value bet. |

Re: live 6/12, A3s SB flops middle pair + bdfd
Against this particular opponent, I agree with Kit that it's a c/f. I think she'll call down with a 2 or a worse 3, but I think more often when she calls, she'll show me a 6, a K, or a small to mid-pocket pair, while folding a busted draw. I didn't really see her bluffing with any busted draw hands, and given how passively she played the river in previous hands, I didn't see her betting any of her one pair hands either.
One potential problem with c/f is that she tried to collect a pot where she held T2 on an A34/2/8 board because she thought she had a straight. No idea how to take that into account. As for the flop play, I felt there were a lot of ways I might want to get away from the hand or gain information that I couldn't get simply by leading out. Once it got checked around to the BN, I wanted to keep playing and protect my equity in the pot. It really seems similar to the Q7s hand from SSHE; smaller pot, and the 7's in that hand are less vulnerable than the 3's in this hand, but it still seems the same principles should apply. The whole reason to raise here is to increase the number of safe cards for our hand. |

Given your read its a no brainer raise, you are probably good und overcards which would peel for 1 bet fold for 2.

Re: live 6/12, A3s SB flops middle pair + bdfd
will button fire with air on the turn if checked to? if so(since there's alot of turn cards we don't want to see), calling and c/r the turn is an okay option.
usually i'm just c/r the flop. it pretty much sets up perfectly for you in this situation. lead any turn. on the river, don't bet. if he's a loosepassive it's a c/f. if he's any sort of aggro/bluffable c/c. |
