if you don't want to gamble for 2/3 your stack on a flip a fold is ok here . the math is +ev but not by a huge amt. i would gamble and try to build a big stack. i don't be;lieve either play is bad though.

Instacall. I'm willing to race to go deep. Barely cashing does not cover your rebuy and add-on costs too often. The big wins are what make rebuys worth playing.

Call.. I'd go as far as taking AA out of villains range (and KK to some extent).

Easy fold, most of the time you are on the ass end of a race or completely dominated. Not getting the odds, and u have a decent stack, why risk ur whole stack when u have plenty of play and you can get your money in much better.

Oh... My... God...

I don't think I've ever folded AK against a single re-raise all-in this early in a rebuy. Risk your whole stack??? It's the friggin start of the 2nd hour in a tourney that begun with well over 1000 people in it, and Hero's stack is just about over average. Hero needs to win like 10 flips to even get ITM.

I can guarantee you, if I go back and look over all my situations where AK faces an all-in, there is an even split between mid pairs and AQ, AJ, AT among Villain's holdings. Also, it's 10 times more likely that Villain holds random trash than AA or KK.

Bottom line: Folding AK here is horrible, unless you have a killer read on your opponent!
