Default AK facing huge overbet in 10 rebuy

just started 2nd hour of the rebuy tourney, played a bit crazy at end of the first hour and villain stats are 26/11/2
Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t75/t150
9 players

Stack sizes:
UTG: t10541
UTG+1: t4327
Hero: t9975
MP2: t21366
MP3: t12955
CO: t6975
Button: t7366
SB: t22075
BB: t2120

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG calls t150 (pot was t225), UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to t600, 2 folds, CO raises all-in t6975, 4 folds, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: t6375 returned to CO.

Results:
Final pot: t1575

since its a rebuy tourney and i have so many more chips than the blinds its seems silly to gamble for 2/3 of my stack, avg stack is around 8k so folding will leave me above average. this a standard lay down?

why instacall? its very likely he has a pair and a remote possibility that i am actually ahead, there are times in tourneyss when i will be willing to flip but with blinds so small compared to my stack this seems liek a bad time

you can forget about the blinds here as you already have put 600 into the pot - with the blinds this is nearly 10% of your stack.

you also can't be sure to be up against a PP, sometimes you'll see another AK, but AQ,AJ wouldn't surprise me.

So i think you have to take this chance to double up - calling is +EV anytime here.

I agree with levAA: instacall

I would expect him to have a pair or any ace. He thinks he has the best hand and you are simply raising to steal the blinds.

There are three cases here.
1) he has AA or KK. This is very rare. Ignore the possibility.
2) he has 22-QQ. This is a coinflip, but there is added money from your raise and from the blinds. It is clearly +EV to call in this case.
3) he has A2-AQ. You have him hugely dominated in this case. Call.

how is that +EV? he doesnt even have good pot odds to call.
i dont understand why ppl overrate AK in tournements.
if he calls and lose he will be very very shortstacked.
any pair is fev to AK preflop.
i think its a good fold, stats of 26/11/2 in a rebuy tournements means that his he is very selective.

Easy fold, most of the time you are on the ass end of a race or completely dominated. Not getting the odds, and u have a decent stack, why risk ur whole stack when u have plenty of play and you can get your money in much better.

Given his pot odds he needs to be 40% to break even.

Against QQ+,AKs,AKo he is 39%.

Against JJ+,AQs+,AKo he is 43%.

Against JJ-KK, AQs, AK he is 47%.

It's getting fun today where so many people are finding excuses again to fold AK when you are completely ahead.

Meh whatever. I'm tired of beating the horse and I'm tired of people posting the "HAH look I folded to KK AA see?" threads.
