Default Broward /Dade Dealer schools & Color Blindness

I'm considering parlaying my recent 1/2 NL winnings into a better job(trust me a Dealer is a big upgrade for me). With all the new laws and Casinos in my area getting a job shouldn't be a problem once I am competant at Dealing. Any one have comments/have been to one of the local Dealer Schools? The one in Pompano is $800 and from one dealer I talked to does a good job at training, this would be perfect for me. I have mild color Blindness, I can tell the difference between red/black cards and white/yellow/red/green chips easily though, could this be a problem getting hired? As far as if it is a good job or not just trust me that it would be a very good job for me.

Go for it chilly!

I had a friend attend the school you're talking about last year. He couldn't find a job at the time after graduating but I'm sure that's a much different story now with all the changes that have taken place.

As far as employers, I'd say the Semnioles are probably the strongest employer in the local casino industry... followed by Dania Jai Alai (due to their large corporate ownership). In addition, Dania is supposed to build a new facility to blow away the competition over the next year or two and wouldn't be a bad place to get in before the expansion happens and, possibly, have a shot at a management level position when it opens.
