1/2 6 max: River Value Bet, or Not?
Very little stats on bad guy; has limped a lot in the few laps I've played with him. No reads.

Re: 1/2 6 max: River Value Bet, or Not?
Why do you only have 50bbs?
I check the turn then bet the river. As played, you don't need to put the rest of your chips in here. What pays you, an 8? I can't see a pair lower than yours getting past the turn. So basically you'd be hoping villain has KsXs, because otherwise it's an ace that beats you or a busted flush draw that doesn't pay you almost always.... |

bet more on the flop and check behind turn, you want to get to showdown cheap.

Re: 1/2 6 max: River Value Bet, or Not?
I only have 50bbs b/c I'm messing around with some ideas from Professional NLH V1.
My thinking was just the opposite: the flush draw must pay on the turn before he busts. I realize the turn is aggro, but I was hoping to fold a weak A, or get a overpriced call from a flush draw. On the river, when he checks, I'm wondering what could call that I have beat? thanks. |

unless theres a crazy metagame going on, nothing that you beat calls a river bet (maybe a KsX, but i dont think so)

There may have been a crazy turn spew bet and a crazy turn spew call, but no history. Thanks. I was just left with the impression that checking behind was weak when I didn't believe he had an A, but betting it appears gives him the opportunity to ckraise if he has the monster (unlikely) but even more unlikely, maybe, that he holds anything to call with IF I'm not beat. |
