I really have no idea why people think it's some sort of foregone conclusion that JJ HAS to be good on this river. Do you really think Villain is firing all three streets with 99 or TT? Look at it from his perspective, with him having TT what worse hand does he expect OP to call with on the river? Or, as Villain with TT, what better hand is OP folding after turn/riv come running K's?

The river shove thus makes no sense unless it's QQ+, or total air. It's probably not air often enough, so folding here is not difficult at all.

I don't think it's that great either, turn can be a fairly easy fold.

his opening range is way wider than his 3b calling range, the 2 things arent related.

[/ QUOTE ]

If he has a wide open range and a ridiculously tight 3b calling range 3-betting seems much much better than calling to me.

what? no

Are you saying that having everyone else fold preflop is not the best possible result?

whatttttttt?!?!?!?! you realize you are turning JJ into XX?
if they have a wide opening range and very tight 3b calling range you should 3bet them with a ton of weak hands, but JJ is probably among the worst, if not the worst hand to 3bet the player you describe. picking up this pot preflop is def not the best option

Not much to add, but I can't think of the last time I saw someone sane bluffing here. I think agree with everyone else that his range is almost completely 99+ Kx.

i dont think he isolates light preflop - esp a utg limper utg+1. i think i would be a big dog to his 3bet calling range here.

[/ QUOTE ]

Disagree here. I think limp-iso ranges generally tend to be very wide in these games (regardless of position). And yes while his 3bet calling range here is obv going to be beating you, his raising range is wide enough that it makes a repop with JJ easily profitable.

3bet pre; turn can go either way based on your feel; it is close; if you call turn def. call this river, it is the best river there is barring a J imho.
