Why not just ask-" Do you read 2+2"

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm shocked 32 minutes have passed since you made this suggestion and you have yet to get flamed by the first-rule-of-2+2-is-you-don't-talk-about-2+2 police.

[/ QUOTE ]

Uhh,,,Barron, I've only read to your post so far but the easy answer to your question is look who the responders are and I don't mean to sound snooty

Commenting on the future will oftentimes affect it.

In Universe X, I didn't comment on it, and it was five pages of people spoutin' off Fight Club maxims.

In this one, Mason got the post of the thread.

Although it would be quite funny for a 2+2er who doesn't know what Mason looks like to yell at Mason in a card room for wearing a 2+2 shirt.

I think you can usually tell whether or not somebody is a 2+2 guy just by looking at them. Kinda like you can always spot the guys who are in the chess club.

I don't get it.

So many people (especially young guys) say "sup bro".

I can't take the 50 times i've heard that seriously as someone who reads these boards.

Am I missing something?

Last night at Morongo I musta heard "sup bro" 4-5 times. I just look at them and say "not much."

I seem to remember it a little differently than you... There were about 7 Fish at the table and I played the part of the Whale. <start brag> I gobbled them up for 30 stacks too <end brag> Thanks for the $5 bucks black flop fish. Remember for next time that Vegas is black flop, Oregon is red. It was nice meeting you, sure I'll see you around.
To get back on topic I've lurked at 2+2 since my freshman year of college (I'm out now) and have never asked about 2+2 at the table but I just might start for the heck of it, it's always nice to meet new people since I'm usually there just socializing and donating anyway. I'll be in Vegas from the 24th - 29th staying at the Bellagio, playing the 15 game and the 30 game both I'm sure so if you see a loud-mouth Oregonian shoot me a "sup bro?" and shut-up I'm sure

This was my thinking as well. We really need to get a better standardized response for 2+2ers. If it is going to be sup bro? there should definitely be a specific response of some kind.

I have heard many people say sup bro quite often....Seems too loose to me...

You are forgetting the requisite: "All county in 95?" interrogative after that confirms whether they'll know you're on 2+2 or just thinking you're weird.
