I guess you're probably right. Can't really see him play a worse 8 any other way than shoving. If I had something like 86s I could probably get away from it though.


I did call after almost timing out. He had 77, so I had a 23%er. Not a terrible call, but it's definitely close. Is a 0.7 donk capable of insta shoving with something worse than J8 when I 3 bet? I dunno. I feel he would probably insta call my raise rather than insta shove with a big pair or draw.

77 and 78 are the only 2 hands that I'm worried about here. Chaoslord correctly points out that we have a good kicker and there are just so many more draws that he can be pushing than hands that are beating us. If we had a hand even like 89, there might be more consideration to folding, but our kicker is too good here to get away from.
