HELP! MY CD-ROM DRIVE DISAPPEARED WHEN I GOT COMCAST INTERNET
I have no idea what happened, but my CD-Rom drive completly just vanished, and now I am getting a message that the secondary drive (which is the Cd-Rom) is not recognized. I looked in the bios setup and it says it is not even installed, when I have used it about 2 weeks ago. The only thing that has changed with my computer is when I installed comcast cable. Do you guys know whats wrong?

did you install a network card in the inside of the PC? possible that either the power or the IDE is not plugged into the drive or motherboard.

Re: HELP! MY CD-ROM DRIVE DISAPPEARED WHEN I GOT COMCAST INTERNET
the fact that it is not even showing up in the BIOS tells us that it is not software related - its not the comcast software you put on the PC. so it's either your motherboard that has the problem (not likely if other IDE devices are working fine), the power or IDE cable, or the drive itself just decided to [censored] the bed.
