Re: new comp questions/suggestions
Intel has the edge these days over AMD.
Video card depends on what you plan on doing with it. Either OS is ok. Vista haters would disagree. |

[/ QUOTE ] well for the video im gonna be hooking up that 30"dell and a 20" and mostly be 9tablin and some video games i guess.... do the vista haters have any legitimate reasoning for this (any non-compliant poker softwares??) or are they just afraid of change?? Re: new comp questions/suggestions
I don't hate Vista, but it's a heavier load on your system than XP because it's prettier and has a nice indexing option. Honestly, I have no direct experience with Vista. I just don't feel Vista is brining anything earth shattering to the table that XP can't already do just fine. A purist might even say Windows 2K is fine.
If you have to pay the money for Vista, or XP, pick up Vista. It's going to be supported longer, but lets hope it's not a Windows Millenium type OS. I haven't heard anything that tragic yet. Myself, I have two copies of XP, no need to pay for another OS just for the sake of having the latest. I know my boss has had his ups-and-downs with his new laptop that he had, at one time, attributed to Vista. I would have to check with him again to see if he still holds that opinion. |
