Default Accounting Question

I have to book Payroll Expense as a deduction. Where does it go? The only place I could find was Salary and Wages.

Without any details, Salary and Wages sounds right.

I don't know the magnitude of your expenses, but I would seriously consider the competent advice of an accountant on this...

Nah, just print off the response from 2+2 and send that to your auditor.

We don't have enough detail. He never said this was for a tax return. This could easily just be for the company's books. If it's truly a payroll expense, it would likely be treated as such on a tax return barring a few less likely exceptions (e.g. an extraordinary amount of officer's compensation, etc.).
