I fold. The only hand you're beating here is JJ, air, or a bluff/semi-bluff (mid pp or AQ/AJ0.
AK, flopped set, T, or AA all well within villain's range beat you. I think the fact you bet the flop thin hurts because a hand like AK could call 45 into 70. |

Re: NL$200| QQ faces tough river decision in 3-bet pot
well, why did you check the turn?
If its to induce a bluff from JJ/99/AT then I guess you've got to call. If it was because you think his calling you're flop bet means he's got AA/KK, then fold. If you checked the turn because you had no idea what he has, then you're not much further forward....but I'd fold. What do you beat except JJ? |

Agreeing with gradx, only hands you are beating here are JJ, AQ, and AJ. I think this a fold, but this is a real tough spot. I may have bet turn, but I think his river bet is legit.

Re: NL$200| QQ faces tough river decision in 3-bet pot
The turn check was pot-control. I'm not going to get much more/any value from A10/JJ type hands. I wasn't specifically trying to induce a bluff either but would have been more likely to call safer rivers.
Result I folded and villain didn't show. I'll never know but I felt there was literally no legitimate hand I can beat as I feel villain isn't too likely to value bet JJ in this manner. |

Re: NL$200| QQ faces tough river decision in 3-bet pot
i like the way you played it, turn and river has been both bad cards, so there's nothing wrong in folding at the river imho. You beat exactly JJ/Bluff so not very much.
And a bluff is not very likely imho, if you dont bet JJ/QQ at the turn usually. But u have 288 hands about him, so he has to know sth. about you. Have you played many reraised pots with him and what where the results? |
